There are so many myths associated with masturbation that it is hardly surprising that some people believe that it decreases testosterone. There is of course, no scientific basis for this belief, but yet this persists. One reason for this myth to exist is that unqualified practitioners who are keen to sell unscientific products to customers attribute all problems of sexual health to masturbation with the intent to make people feel guilt about their own behaviour.

It is important to have a healthy view of masturbation, and be wary of myths such as this one.
