Tinder, one of the best dating apps of 2019, says Indians believe sex to be the most important aspect of a relationship. According to the survey of 1,500 people by Tinder, Indian men and women aged between 18 and 34 years, think about sex quite often and have a broader perspective of exploring different forms of sexual pleasure. However, majority of the young singles fail to have satisfied sex lives. The survey focused majorly on understanding the thinking and behavioural patterns of urban Indians towards sex.

Over 80% of the respondents were in favour of experimenting and exploring sexual relationships in their lives. The growing use of dating apps such as Tinder, Grindr, Bumble, OkCupid, TrulyMadly etc. is a result of this trend. Also, thanks to search engines that keep users updated about the various sexual terms, different sexual positions and sexual orientations. However, a much smaller group of people are actually able to incorporate their creative ideas into their sex lives. As per the survey, only 37% of single Indians are open to sexual experimentation with a casual date while only 24% enjoy creative sexual pleasure in bed with their partners.

Consequently, only 29% of the younger respondents (18-24 years) feel free to explore a sexual relationship with a casual date because of the judgemental society that still considers pre-marital sex as taboo.

Good part of the survey is all respondents of all age-groups and genders had one thing in common i.e. they considered Saturday to be the best day to go on a date. Nearly 60% of Indians still have a traditional mindset to consider night time as the best time to have sex. Interestingly, around 71% of all respondents used their tiredness or low mood to be their favourite excuse to not have sex with their partners.

The survey showed that Indian urban population, who have a growing fondness for dating apps are coming up with innovative dating app templates to enter into relationships. However, the existing messy procedures of the apps still makes people nervous.
