Tadalafil and Viagra are commonly used drugs to treat erectile dysfunction. Tadalafil is sold under the brand name Cialis whereas sildenafil comes under brand name Viagara.

However, these cannot be used along with certain medications and always should be used under medical guidance.

Among many other treatments, Viagra and tadalafil are used commonly to treat erectile dysfunction. They both help to retain the penile erection by increasing the blood flow to the penis. Tadalafil is also used to treat an enlarged prostate. Many tend to believe that tadalafil and Viagra make you feel hornier which is wrong. The drugs help with an increase in blood flow and induce erection. And it should be used after being prescribed by the physician.

According to Medical News Today, during arousal, the arteries leading to the penis expand, allowing more blood to flow through it. The veins leading blood away from the penis also become narrower. The higher blood flow in and restricted blood flow out of the penis cause it to harden, leading to an erection. In erectile dysfunction, however, blood flow to the penis can be too low and disrupt the ability to get or maintain an erection.

Drugs such as Viagra relax smooth muscles and increase blood flow to the penis, making it easier to get or keep an erection. Tadalafil should be taken thirty minutes before, and the effects last up to thirty-six hours. The dosage varies between 10mg to 20 mg based on doctor’s advice.

Viagra, on the other hand, is best to be taken one hour before action. The dosage comes as 25mg,50mg and 100mg.

Both tadalafil and Viagra leaves side effects such as facial flushing, headache, diarrhoea, nausea, blurred vision, changes in colour vision. Along with these symptoms, tadalafil also leads to low blood pressure. However, it’s not clear whether Viagra is helpful to treat sexual dysfunction in women. And basically both the drugs are safe to use when used in moderation and with physician guidance.
