Bollywood movies not only entertain the audiences but also leave a message to learn from. Some movies don’t get it right, but some really cool movies manage to strike the right chord with the audience. When it comes to romance or intimate relationships, Bollywood has produced ‘n’ number of films that can give couples major relationship goals.
Here we have picked a few movies that have portrayed the simplicity and complexity of tricky yet beautiful romantic relationships:
1) Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya:
The movie featuring real-life couple Genelia Deshmukh and Riteish Deshmukh is a romantic film based on Haryanvi culture. The film has a lot of funny elements, thanks to Riteish, who never fails to tickle your funny bones. The movie shows a couple who are complete opposite personalities but still fall in love. The film teaches how you can appreciate the differences of your partner and accept their uniqueness. It leaves a message that a successful relationship is all about evolving as a person and living with the person who encourages you to see the world differently.
2) Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na:
The movie features Genelia Deshmukh and Imran Khan as best friends who decide to search for life partners for each other. Despite being totally in love, Genelia and Imran’s on-screen characters don’t realize the same until the second half of the film. The film leaves a message that a boy and a girl who are best friends can turn lovers too. A friendship forms the basis of a highly romantic and intimate relationship because you both get along so well that you love the time being with each other.
3) Koi Mil Gaya:
This movie stars Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta in lead roles. It is my personal favourite film as it is not a typical love story but an unconventional one. Hrithik and Preity portray the character of a mentally disabled boy and a matured girl who fall in love despite all odds. It shows that loves knows no boundaries and can conquer any disability and challenges. The innocence of the boy and the right support of the girl in the film shows the power of genuine love and care in relationships.
Falling in love with the person of your type or a polar opposite one may be a comfortable journey, but rising in love with your partner makes it the most beautiful phenomena of your life. Thinking of growing in love and working out the distinct needs, experiences, identities, values is what makes you both a matured couple.
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” – Rumi
